ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT COACHING? WE NEED YOU!

We are currently working on setting teams for next season. Some coaches will opt not to continue due to other commitments, coaches may be assigned to a different team and new teams may be created which provide opportunities for new coaches to join. Are you thinking about coaching or do you know someone who might be?

If you love the game, love helping kids and want to help the game continue to grow then volunteer to coach a team! We are happy to provide guidance and to help you settle in, which includes funding the Basketball Australia accredited club coaching course.

SOME MORE INFORMATION

Our teams have a 1-hour weekly training session during the week (teams can be scheduled to train from Monday to Friday from 4:00pm to 9:00pm) and play on Saturday in the Keilor Basketball Association – Junior Domestic competition.

The club provide each coach with a club polo top and coaches bag with supplies!

OUR CLUB

We are an inclusive and friendly club who want to see kids grow and develop through the sport we love!

Everything in our Club depends on volunteers – we are only as good as the work that our volunteers do. If we don’t get some more coaches then kids may miss out on an opportunity to play the sport we love!

Your involvement can help to build a stronger, healthier, happier and safer community, enabling many children to be active and to be part of our great club.

THE FINE PRINT

We are committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people.

We abide by the Basketball Victoria Member Protection Bylaws which outline the screening process for people in our Club who volunteer (committee members, coaches and team managers).

In accepting a volunteer role, you are agreeing to supply a current WWCC (unless you are underage, recognised as a teacher or in the police force) and must complete a member protection statutory declaration.
